Listen to Foreigner’s ‘Cold As Ice’ from Stranger Things, Season 3 as Eleven breaks up with Mike

British American rock band Foreigner’s ‘Cold As Ice‘ was one of the stellar tracks on the second episode of the new season of the Netflix series Stranger Things this week — Stranger Things, Season 3, Episode 2, “Chapter Two: The Mall Rats“.

The track was the song playing as Eleven breaks up with Mike after he stands her up, and then lies to her about his grandmother being ill.  She knows he is lying, and so she leaves furious and goes to see Max.

Cold As Ice‘ is from Foreigner’s self-titled debut album. Released in 1977, ‘Cold As Ice‘ was the third single from the album and, nowadays, is one of the most iconic of Foreigner’s songs.

The track made it to the number 6 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as charted in four other countries.

Foreigner’s debut album also charted on the Billboard 200 Chart in the number 4 position, eventually being certified 5 times Platinum in the United States, and Platinum in Canada.

Founded in 1976, Foreigner is still together today, although the band is no longer releasing albums just singles. The only original member of the band nowadays, however, is lead singer Mick Jones.
