Australian indie rock band Gang of Youths’ ‘The Heart is a Muscle‘ was featured on the Showtime series Billions this week — Season 4, Episode 2, “Arousal Template” (March 24th, 2019).
It was played as Chuck is running to become Attorney General.
Gang of Youths’ ‘The Heart is a Muscle‘ is from the Aussie band’s second studio album Go Farther in Lightness, which was released in 2017. It was the fifth single from the album.
Go Farther in Lightness was nominated for eight awards Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards of 2017, where it won four, including Album of the Year. It was also certified gold in Australia.
And why the title ‘The Heart is a Muscle’?
Because, according to the band’s lead vocalist David Le’aupepe, “The more empathy we exercise, the more love we display, the more autonomy we demonstrate, the stronger that muscle becomes.”
