One of the interesting things about James Gunn’s Peacemaker series is the otherwise unknown-to-me-at-least rock and heavy metal bands whose music he has had featured on the show.
Music that often has a heavy Scandinavian bent.
Songs like Swedish heavy metal band Hardcore Superstar’s ‘You Can’t Kill My Rock ‘n Roll‘, which was that awesome track playing over last night’s season finale end credits — Peacemaker, Season 1, Episode 8, “It’s Cow or Never“.
A track that is the first one from the band to be licensed for a hit American TV series, by the way.
Hardcore Superstar’s ‘You Can’t Kill My Rock ‘n Roll‘ is the title track from the band’s 11th studio album of the same name.

An album that came out in 2018, spawned four singles, and was nominated for a Swedish Grammy Award.

And, while the song itself is as cool as hell, I’ve gotta say I also love that music video as it celebrates Hardcore Superstar’s fans as much as it does the band themselves.
