Irish singer songwriter Hozier’s ‘Movement‘ was one of the stellar tracks played on the latest season of the Netflix series Virgin River this month — Virgin River, Season 2, Episode 10, “Blown Away”.
The song was heard as Mel and Jack are kissing.
Hozier’s ‘Movement’ was the lead single from the singer’s sophomore studio album Wasteland, Baby!
Released in November, 2018, while not a critical success, the 14-track album was well-liked by fans and charted high on the charts in 20 countries.
It was particularly successful in the United States where Wasteland, Baby! hit the #1 spot on no less than four charts — the Billboard 200 chart, the Top Alternative Albums chart, the Folk Albums chart and on the Top Rock Albums.
It also made it to the #1 spot on the Irish charts.
Hozier’s ‘Movement‘ was not a massive commercial success for the singer, however, although it did chart in a number of countries.
The song also came with a gorgeous music video featuring the Ukrainian ballet dancer Sergei Polunin dancing to the track (twice!) as, while ‘Movement‘ is a love song, it also celebrates the beauty of movement and how every one of us can create something beautiful by the way we choose to move.
