Two Christmas-focused episodes of Virgin River premiered this week on Netflix with some superb traditional Christmas music on their soundtracks sung by some interesting artists.


Songs like Michael Buble’s ‘It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas‘, which was played on Virgin River, Season 5, Episode 12, “Father Christmas” at the Christmas tree competition, as the townsfolk are milling around the trees.

The track is one of seven Christmas songs heard on the episode, including Norah Jones’ ‘White Christmas and Ingrid Michaelson’s ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas‘.

Since its release in October, 2011 Michael Buble‘s version of ‘It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas‘ has become a Christmas classic in its own right.

It was originally released as the second single from Buble’s seventh studio album Christmas, which was also his first ever holiday album.

The song hit high up charts in more than 30 countries, becoming an enormous worldwide success but was particularly successful in Europe.

Buble’s Christmas album also became a huge hit for the Canadian singer songwriter, climbing to #1 on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States by early December.

Every new holiday season, the songs on the album — which includes ‘Jingle Bells‘, ‘Santa Baby‘ and ‘White Christmas‘ — earn tens of millions more streams, proving Michael Buble created a holiday album with massive staying power.
