New York City based Rapper Nas’ ‘Life’s a Bitch‘ was played on the Netflix series Ozark this week — Ozark, Season 4, Episode 8, “The Cousin of Death“.
The song was heard as Ruth is driving and talking on the phone to Marty.
Rapper Nas’ ‘Life’s a Bitch‘(feat. AZ and Olu Dara) was released as the third single from the artist’s debut studio album Illmatic back in early 1994.
It was one of several songs from the Nas’ album Illmatic played on the Ozark episode.
The track, known for its cool jazzy beat, was also one of five singles released from the album, none of which did particularly well commercially.
Something that was extremely surprising, as the album was named by critics at the time as one of the most influential releases of the decade.
Nowadays, Illmatic is known as one of the most influential hip hop albums of all time.
Listen to Nas’ ‘Life’s a Bitch‘(feat. AZ and Olu Dara) from the Ozark soundtrack on the rapper’s Illmatic album, and in the video, and you will quickly hear why.
