One of my favorite tracks from Passenger’s just released new album Young As The Morning Old As The Sea is ‘Beautiful Birds‘. An acoustic song with pretty music and extremely sad lyrics.
But today, along with the release of his new album, Passenger also released an audio video of a different version of ‘Beautiful Birds‘.
A version that appears on the album, and one featuring the ridiculously talented British singer Birdy in a duet with Passenger — a duet that adds such incredible depth to the meaning of the song, this one is definitely the one I prefer. (The acoustic solo version Passenger originally released, which is gorgeous too, also appears on the album, but on the deluxe edition only).
Listen to Passenger and Birdy singing ‘Beautiful Birds‘ in the video below. Now isn’t that one of the prettiest and saddest things?
And, of course, grab the standard version of Passenger’s just released new album Young As The Morning Old As The Sea on all major music platforms.
