Listen to Peter Gabriel’s ‘My Body is a Cage’ from Helstrom, Season 1, Ep. 1, “Mother’s Little Helpers”

British singer songwriter Peter Gabriel’s ‘My Body is a Cage‘ was featured on the first episode of the new Hulu Marvel Comics series Helstrom last night — Helstrom, Season 1, Episode 1, “Mother’s Little Helpers“.

The song was heard playing as Gabriella is reading about the Helstrom family.

Peter Gabriel’s ‘My Body is a Cage‘ is from the iconic artist’s 2010 eighth studio album Scratch My Back, which was released via the Virgin Records label and on Gabriel’s own label Real World.

The album features 12 cover songs that were originally released by other artists.

While not one of Gabriel’s biggest hit, Scratch My Back was still a success for the British artist. The album charted in 21 countries, making it to the #1 spot in Belgium, and #2 in Poland and on the United States’ Independent Albums chart.

Gabriel’s ‘My Body is a Cage‘ was written and originally released by the Canadian indie rock band Arcade Fire on their second studio album Neon Bible.

His cover of the song has also been used on the soundtrack of the Assassin’s Creed III video game, and in the TV shows House, Dark and Babylon.  (article cont below…)

As for Helstrom, the new series is based on Marvel comics characters Daimon and Satana Hellstrom, siblings who spend their time hunting and killing extreme criminals.

It stars Tom Austen and Sydney Lemmon, and was planned to be the first show in Hulu’s Adventure into Fear series of shows until that project was cancelled earlier in the year.
