Listen to Siouxsie and the Banshees’ ‘Spellbound’ from Stranger Things, Season 4, Episode 9

Siouxsie and the Banshees’ ‘Spellbound‘ was that mesmerizing song playing on Season 4 of Stranger Things this weekend — Stranger Things, Season 4, Episode 9, “Chapter Nine: The Piggyback“.

The song played right at the end of the last episode of the season, and continued playing over the end credits and, man, was that a nice track to end the season on, eh?

Siouxsie and the Banshees’ ‘Spellbound‘ was released by the British indie rock band in 1981 as the lead single from their fourth studio album Juju.

While not a huge commercial success, and only charting in three countries (U.K, U.S. and New Zealand), the song went on to become one of the most recognized Siouxsie and the Banshees’ releases.

It was also hailed by many critics as a masterpiece in the music genre.

Others named the band one of the best British bands ever (they were!).

Siouxsie and the Banshees were in existence as a band from 1976–1996 and, then again, briefly in 2002.

During that time, they released 11 studio albums, three live albums, and eight compilation albums.

Listen to Siouxsie and the Banshees’ ‘Spellbound’ as heard on Stranger Things, in the song’s music video, and on the indie rock band’s Juju album.
