Listen to The Dust Brothers’ ‘Corporate World’ from Ted Lasso, Season 2, Ep. 9

Beard (Brendan Hunt) and his pals — Bronson Webb, Adam Colborne and Kevin Garry head to the nightclub

Songwriters and producers The Dust Brothers’ ‘Corporate World‘ was heard on Ted Lasso last night — Ted Lasso, Season 2, Episode 9, “Beard After Hours” — an episode that aired on September 17th, 2021.

The 1960s sounding piece of music was played as Beard and the guys from the pub are not ready to end the night.

So they decide to head to a private club called Bones & Honey that the guys say “Won’t even let Cher in”.

Interestingly, The Dust Brothers’ ‘Corporate World‘ was originally released in 1999 on the soundtrack for the hit Brad Pitt/Edward Norton movie Fight Club.

A film The Dust Brothers were commissioned to write the score for, and one that helped cement critics’ opinion of the songwriters as some of the best in the field.

The Dust Brothers, by the way, are Grammy Award winning songwriter E.Z. Mike (aka Michael Simpson) and fellow Grammy Award winner music producer King Gizmo (aka John King).

The duo has been creating music together since 1985.

Along with their own music, they have also been producing hit records for the likes of Beck, Hanson, the Beastie Boys, Santana, The Rolling Stones, They Might Be Giants and Linkin Park for many years.

Listen to The Dust Brothers’ ‘Corporate World‘ as heard on last night’s Ted Lasso on both the Fight Club soundtrack album down below, and in the video.

Don’t just listen to the one track, though, as the entire soundtrack from the film is superb.
