Listen to The Secret Sisters’ ‘Do You Love an Apple’ from Big Sky, Season 3, Episode 1

Americana duo The Secret Sisters’ ‘Do You Love an Apple‘ was played during the weird scenes at the opening of the new season of Big Sky last night — Big Sky, Season 3, Episode 1, “Do You Love an Apple“.

You know those scenes — the ones where the hiker hears a song, discovers it playing on a tape recorder in the middle of nowhere, then is surprised by the creepy guy brandishing a hunting knife.

We hear the song again, but this time at a slowed down speed, as the weird guy reappears and frightens the hiker into falling off a cliff.

The Secret Sisters’ ‘Do You Love an Apple‘ is a traditional song that was recorded by the duo (aka Laura Rogers and Lydia Slagle) for their self-titled first album, which came out in late 2010 on Universal Republic Records.

The album was critically enjoyed, and charted on four charts in the U.S., with its highest placing at #3 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart.

It also placed at #20 on the UK Albums chart.

Listen to The Secret Sisters’ ‘Do You Love an Apple‘ on the duo’s music video for the song.

The video features the pair wearing period dresses and hairstyles, and looking as if they would fit perfectly into a 1930s setting.

You can also hear the oddly titled but sweet song on their debut album below.
