As was expected from pretty much every fan, Lovely Runner, Episode 16 took the Korean romance drama to the end of its story on Tuesday night with a very nice jump in the ratings.

So much so, Episode 16 was the K-drama’s highest rated episode in its entire run, grabbing 5.76 percent of the nationwide audience last night.

The tvN drama performed even better with audiences in Seoul, garnering an all-time high rating of 7.20 percent on Tuesday night — up from its previous episode‘s already very solid 6.19 percent viewership.

Those superb ratings gave Lovely Runner a respectable 4.18 average rating per episode nationwide across its 16-episode run, while in Seoul the K-drama’s average rating was a higher 4.86 percent.

And yes, I am thrilled to see the Korean drama do so well, as it is easily one of the most well-written, best acted romance dramas this year.

What drama will take the place of Lovely Runner on tvN next week?

Lovely Runner stars Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon.

All 16 episodes of the popular drama are now available for watching/rewatching on Viki, with subtitles in 21 languages including English.

In its place on tvN next week, the second season of the 2018 drama The PlayerPlayer 2: Master of Swindlers — starring Song Seung Heon, Oh Yeon Seo and Tae Won Suk will kick off in the same Monday/Tuesday night time slot.

Like its first very popular season, that drama will also stream on Viki.
