MBC K-drama Our House premiere date confirmed – to air after Chief Detective 1958 ends

The upcoming MBC black comedy drama Our House has a premiere date — May 24th.

The release date was announced in the South Korean media today at the same time as the cast were also attending their first script reading.

The 12-episode comedy thriller will air on the Korean network every Friday and Saturday at 21:50 PM (KST) in the same time slot as the upcoming crime drama Chief Detective 1958, which is due to air from April 19th to May 18th.

What is the plot of K-drama Our House and who stars in it?

Jointly directed by Lee Dong Hyun (She Knows Everything) and Kim Seung Woo (Bring Me Home), the Korean drama was written by screenwriter Nam Ji Yeon (So I Married an Anti-Fan), and promises a captivating narrative.

The story follows a certified family psychotherapist in Korea, who tries to protect her family by teaming up with her mother-in-law, a mystery novel writer, when her career and home are threatened by a mysterious blackmailer.

The K-drama stars Kim Hee Sun who plays counselor Noh Young Won, while Lee Hye Young is Hong Sa Gang, her mystery writer mother-in-law.

The cast also includes Kim Nam Hee, Yeonwoo, Hwang Chan Sung, Park Jae Chan, and Ahn Gil Gang.

Kim Nam Hee plays Choi Jae Jin, the husband of Noh Young Won, and a doctor who has made a name for himself as a master of reconstructive surgery.

He is a family man who dotes on both his wife and mother, and loves his son.

Hwang Chan Sung is Noh Young Won’s brilliant younger brother, Noh Young Min, while Ahn Gil Gang is the owner of a corn noodle shop, and Park Jae Chan is Choi Do Hyun, the son of Noh Young Won and Choi Jae Jin.

The entire thing is a black comedy that, according to the production team, will give us a different view of what “family” actually means.
