What is Parasyte: The Grey?
The Netflix live-action series is based on Hitoshi Iwaaki’s almost cult-classic manga series, and is written by screenwriter Ryu Yong Jae (Money Heist: Korea and Monstrous).
Directed by Yeon Sang Ho (The Cursed), a director known for his expertise in creature features, the series marks his latest endeavor in this genre.
The K-drama stars Jeon So Nee, Koo Kyo Hwan, and Lee Jung Hyun.
The 6-episode horror series portrays an invasion of Earth by aliens who assimilate the bodies of humans and animals upon contact, transforming them into beings that can change their bodies at will.
The Korean drama follows Jeong Su In (played by Jeon So Nee) whose body is only partially taken over by a parasite, thus pushing her into a strange new world where she co-exists with the parasite in her own body.
Parasyte: The Grey premiered on Netflix worldwide on April 5th, 2024.
Let’s see what the official Netflix data says tomorrow.
