The Secret Romantic Guesthouse ratings are heading upwards just in time for its finale
The Korean drama The Secret Romantic Guesthouse, Episode 16 aired last night and earned its highest rating for the period drama yet.
According to the new numbers released by Nielsen Korea earlier today, The Secret Romantic Guesthouse, Episode 16 earned a 4.5 percent of the audience share nationwide.
Sure, that means the rating was only .1 percent higher than its all-time high during its first episode, but it is a bump. And we’ll take it.
That rating is also .5 percent higher than the K-drama’s previous episode, so sets the series up well for great ratings next week for its final two episodes.
Ratings in Seoul for The Secret Romantic Guesthouse, Episode 16
In Seoul, while The Secret Romantic Guesthouse, Episode 16 rating was not the drama’s all-time high, the 4.6 percent audience share it earned was an increase of .3 percent compared to the drama’s fifteenth episode.
That number also means the period drama is only .3 percent away from earning its all-time high rating in Seoul as well.
With just two more episodes to go, and with events really heating up during the previous three episodes, it is highly likely the mystery period drama could go out on the high note it has deserved from the beginning.
The Secret Romantic Guesthouse international audience
Meanwhile, international viewers, who have been pretty loyal throughout the Shin Ye Eun-led drama’s entire run are still sticking with the show, and seem to be happy with where it is heading.
My Drama List users, for instance, currently have the show with an 8.2 out of 10 rating (again, anything over an 8 is very high for that site), with their comments also reflecting their enjoyment of the drama.
Over on Viki, where the drama is currently streaming outside South Korea, it is doing even better with a 9.5 out of 10.
The Secret Romantic Guesthouse stars the aformentioned Shin Ye Eun as Yoon Dan Oh, the owner of the guesthouse.
The other main leads are Ryeoun as Kang San, a martial arts student, Jung Gun Joo as scholar Jung Yu Ha, and Kang Hoon as Kim Shi Yeol, Yoon Dan Oh’s best friend.
Yep, the show features three really hot guys, what more could you want, eh?
The Secret Romantic Guesthouse, Episode 16 is now streaming in Korea via Wavve, and outside the country available on Viki.
The final two episodes of the drama will premiere on May 15th and 16th. Mark your calendars.
