Korean drama The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract, Episode 3 aired last night on MBC in South Korea to its highest ever ratings.
According to official data from Nielsen Korea, The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract, Episode 3 ratings were 6.7 percent nationwide, which is up from Episode 2’s 5.9 percent and a new record for the MBC drama.
In Seoul, the K-drama performed similarly, with its ratings rising from the previous episode’s 5.8 percent to last night’s 6.7 percent.
Those ratings placed the drama in 6th place on Korean TV nationwide, and in 4th place in Seoul for the day.
Considering The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract also airs directly opposite the SBS drama My Demon, which also saw a viewership rise last night, and that its ratings continue to rise with each new episode released is a superb achievement.
When does The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract air?
The fantasy romantic comedy The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract is based on a popular webtoon by Angelique and Kim Neo-ul.
The Korean drama stars Lee Se Young (The Law Cafe) in the role of the titular Park Yeon Woo, a woman who suddenly finds herself transported from the Joseon era to modern day Seoul.
Bae In Hyuk (Cheer Up) plays Kang Tae Ha, the man Yeon Woo ultimately enters into a marriage contract with, and a man who looks like her late husband whom she married when she lived back in Joseon times 200 years before.
The drama airs every Friday and Saturday at 21:50 (KST) on MBC, with Viki streaming it for international viewers.
Episode 4 will air on MBC later on tonight, with Viki streaming it soon after.
