The Korean drama Wonderful World, Episode 5 aired on MBC last night to a huge ratings rise.

A rise so big the drama was a mouse hair away from double digits nationwide for the first time since it premiered on March 1st.

Those ratings, according to Nielsen Korea, were 9.9 percent nationwide, which is a 3.5 percent increase from its previous episode’s rating of 6.4 percent.

And, in Seoul, Wonderful World, Episode 5 did reach double digits for the first time — seeing a 4.0 percent increase from Episode 4’s rating of 6.2 percent to Friday night’s 10.2 percent.

With the critical and fan reception the revenge drama is getting though, and as word is spreading how good the K-drama has turned out to be, those rapidly increasing ratings are not very surprising.

International ratings for Wonderful World

International viewers watching the show are also rating the Kim Nam Joo-led drama with very high ratings.

On IMDB, Wonderful World is currently rated a high 8.9 out of 10, while over on My Drama List, a site whose users often downrate dramas for ridiculous reasons, Wonderful World is also rated with a solid 8.2 out of 10 — high for that site.

The streaming ratings website Flix Patrol is also reporting the Korean drama is currently in the Top on Disney + in Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea, with a current #3 spot in South Korea.

Wonderful World stars the exceptionally talented cast of Kim Nam Joo, Cha Eun Woo, Kim Kang Woo, and Im Se Mi.

The K-drama’s next episode will air later on tonight on MBC in South Korea, with Disney + streaming it for its subscribers in select regions.
