Occasionally, British singer songwriter Passenger releases a new video that is him doing a cover of another artist’s usually very famous song.
Last week, it was a superb version of R.E.M.’s ‘Losing My Religion‘. This week, it’s an equally stunning cover of Joy Division’s ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart‘.
And it’s a cover Passenger does in his usual matter-of-fact sort of way, which makes it even more powerful, and even more lovely. And, of course, he makes the song his own. Just as if he wrote it himself.
