Jo Bo Ah joining Kim Soo Hyun in new K-drama Knock Off? Here’s what we know so far…

News out of South Korea today is all about Queen of Tears‘ star Kim Soo Hyun possibly starring with actress Jo Bo Ah in a new K-drama called Knock Off.

As you might guess from the title, the upcoming black comedy K-drama is about the fake luxury products industry.

Knock Off is being directed by Park Hyun Suk (Song of the Bandits), who is also back together with the superb Song of the Bandits screenwriter Han Jung Hoon for the new K-drama.

As for the involvement of Kim Soo Hyun and Jo Bo Ah, XYZ Studio the agency of Jo Bo Ah responded to the rumor earlier today saying the actress had received an offer to star in the drama, and was reviewing it.

Kim Soo Hyun’s agency responded similarly several weeks ago, with no update on that as of yet.

Jo Bo Ah’s potential role in Knock Off

If Jo Bo Ah does accept the Knock Off role, she will reportedly be playing a custom officer, who is also the male lead’s first love.

Now, whether that means she would be the first female lead or not, we obviously don’t know yet.

After all, Kim Shi Eun (The Dream Songs) was also named as “reviewing an offer to star in Knock Offback in early April.

Jo Bo Ah, of course, is known for her roles in Destined with You, Tale of the Nine-Tailed and Military Prosecutor Doberman.

She is also currently working on the upcoming Netflix series Hong Rang with Lee Jae Wook, Kim Jae Wook, Jung Ga Ram and Uhm Ji Won.

We will keep you updated as more information is released about the Knock Off cast but, as it stands at the moment, Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Shi Eun, Jo Bo Ah, Yoo Jae Myung (No Way Out), and Go Gyu Pil (Frankly Speaking) are the five actors currently in talks to join the K-drama’s cast.
