The ongoing South Korean period drama Captivating the King is on its second week on the Netflix Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart.

This time for the period from January 29th to February 4th, 2024.

The Korean drama has also climbed one spot on the chart from last week’s #7 to this week’s #6.

To get to that spot, Captivating the King was viewed more than 1.4 million times for a total of 8.4 million hours watched worldwide.

Captivating the King in Top 10 in 10 countries

Along with hitting the overall #6 spot on the Netflix chart, the K-drama was also in the Top 10 in 10 countries.

Those countries are primarily in Asia — Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, and the drama’s home country of South Korea — along with Nigeria in Africa.

The Korean drama made it onto the Netflix chart along with four other Korean dramas — Doctor Slump in the #1 position, My Demon at #7, The Bequeathed at #9 and Welcome to Samdalri at #10.

Thus proving Korean dramas are continuing to take over many of the worldwide streaming platforms.

Captivating the King, by the way, stars the superb leads of Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung, alongside Lee Shin Young.

The stellar ensemble cast supporting them includes Yang Kyung Won, Jo Sung Ha, Son Hyun Joo, Kang Hong Seok, Park Ye Young, Jang Young Nam and Kim Bo Yoon.

If you are currently enjoying Captivating the King, like millions of others around the globe, you will also be thrilled to hear four episodes will premiere this coming weekend on tvN in South Korea instead of the usual two.

The four episodes will also appear on Netflix soon after.
