Reports from various Korean news media this week suggest Korean actor Chae Jong Hyeop is considering a leading role in the upcoming romantic comedy titled Desert Island Diva (working title) alongside Park Eun Bin.
A source from Chae Jong Hyeop’s agency, IOK Company, confirmed Desert Island Diva is one of the projects the actor has been offered.
According to entertainment news reports in South Korea, Desert Island Diva tells the story of a girl who finds herself stranded on a deserted island after an accident, where she lives alone until she is rescued 15 years later.
The drama follows her journey as she reintegrates into society, including beginning the singing career she has always wanted.
Park Eun Bin to star in Desert Island Diva?
Director Oh Choong Hwan and writer Park Hye Ryun, known for their collaborations on both While You Were Sleeping and Start-Up are teaming up once again for this project.
It was also previously reported the superb actress Park Eun Bin is also in discussions to join the cast, potentially playing the role of Mok Ha, the “desert island diva”.
Chae Jong Hyeop has reportedly been offered the role of Bo Geol, the male lead who shares a deep connection with Mok Ha and has an affectionate personality.
Meanwhile, the actor most recently appeared in the just ended ENA drama Unlock My Boss.
