K-drama Mean Love may have two new cast members
Exciting news for K-drama fans!
Kim Hyun Jin and Jin Ho Eun are in talks for supporting roles in the highly anticipated tvN drama Mean Love (working title)!
Korean news media broke the news earlier in the day that both actors are considering roles in this fascinating-sounding new series.
In response to the reports, Kim Hyun Jin’s agency, YG Entertainment, and Jin Ho Eun’s agency, Outer Universe, responded in the usual fashion — they have both received offers to appear in Mean Love, and are currently reviewing them.
Kim Hyun Jin recently starred in Dreaming of a Freaking Fairy Tale, while Jin Ho Eun was one of the stars of Love in the Big City.
Both received overwhelmingly positive comments from fans.
Fingers crossed for a confirmation soon then, eh? As, in my mind, the two young actors should be appearing in even more K-dramas than they already have been.
Reports about other cast members of Mean Love
Kim Hyun Jin will reportedly take on the role of Im Seon U, the younger sibling of Im Hyeon Jun, while Jin Ho Eun is set to play Wi Hong Sin, the younger sibling of Wi Jeong Sin.
Those two roles are likely to be played by Lee Jung Jae (Squid Game) and Im Ji Yeon (The Tale of Lady Ok), as both are currently in discussions to join the cast as Im Hyeon Jun and Wi Jeong Sin, respectively.
Throw in Kim Ji Hoon, who we recently reported was in talks to star in the K-drama, alongside Seo Ji Hye, who has been confirmed as starring in Mean Love, and this could be quite the line up, eh?
As for the plot of Mean Love, it is likely to deliver a delightful mix of romance and drama as it explores the stories of a seasoned actor famous for his detective roles but yearning to conquer romantic dramas, and a former award-winning political journalist who finds herself reassigned to the entertainment beat.
Yep, I’m all in for this. How about you?
