Korean crime noir The Wild starring Park Sung Woong, Oh Dae Hwan comes to digital this month

The Wild was released in South Korea in November, 2023

2023’s action crime thriller The Wild is getting a digital release in North America in April via international film distributor Well Go USA Entertainment.

As a heads up for that release, a highly-stylized poster (see below) and an official The Wild trailer came out this weekend giving us an idea not only of the extreme drama and violence we can expect in the film (well, it is Korean crime noir), but also a look at the truly stellar cast.

The Wild was directed by Kim Bong Han (Ordinary Person).

It stars Park Sung Woong (The Killing Vote), Oh Dae Hwan (Devils), Oh Dal Soo (Tunnel), Seo Ji Hye (Love All Play), and Joo Seok Tae (Korea-Khitan War).

The film follows former boxer Song Woo Cheol (played by Park Sung Woong), who has recently been released from prison after serving time due to the death of one of his opponents in the boxing ring.

Once out, Woo Cheol is determined to live a quiet life from now on, but that all quickly disappears when he becomes involved in a bloody feud between an old friend, a corrupt cop, and a dangerous drug smuggler.

Can Woo Cheol get his life back on track, or are outside forces going to pull him down again?

Official The Wild poster

The Wild (titled 더 와일드: 야수들의 전쟁 in Korean) is rated R, and has a run time of 110 minutes.

There is no word where it will be streaming/available as of yet, but we will give you a heads up as soon as that information is released.

The Wild hits digital services on April 7th.
