Listen to Overcoats ‘The Fool’ from Dickinson, Season 2, Episode 4 “The Daisy follows…”

Electronic folk-style pop duo Overcoats’ ‘The Fool‘ was one of the cool songs featured on the Apple TV+ drama series Dickinson last night — Dickinson, Season 2, Episode 4, “The Daisy follows…” (which aired on January 15th, 2021).

The track was played as Emily gets up in the middle of the night and, suffering from writer’s block, decides to try to write.

It is the first time she has ever suffered from writer’s block as she is nervous about Sam Bowles not liking her submission.

Overcoats ‘The Fool‘ is from the New York-based pop duo’s sophomore album The Fight, which was released in 2020 via Loma Vista Recordings.

The catchy and quite danceable song also received four different remix versions on Overcoats’ follow up album The Fight (Remixed) later in the year. (Listen to all four via  the Spotify widget below).

As for Overcoats, the female electro pop duo comprises singer songwriters Hana Elion and JJ Mitchell.

The pair met while attending Wesleyan College in 2011, decided to form a music duo as they loved each others songs so much, and have been together ever since.

Their first release as a pop duo was in 2015.
