New Dare to Love Me poster suggests romance between Kim Myung Soo and Lee Yoo Young

A new poster has been released for the upcoming Korean rom-com Dare to Love Me (also known as Love Me Carelessly).

The latest Dare to Love Me poster follows on from the recently released stills from the drama, and is more colorful than the previous one, as it features serious-looking 21st-century Confucian scholar Shin Yoon Bok (played by Kim Myung Soo) on one half, while his half-smiling romantic interest art teacher Kim Dong Ho (Lee Yoo Young) is on the other.

Shin Yoon Bok is dressed in traditional hanbok while Kim Dong Ho, in her striped top and short skirt, shows she is a perfectly modern woman.

Interestingly though, with the miniature Yoon Boks and Dong Hos invading each others space and trying to get their attention, it appears they both may be thinking about the other more than they might like.

Especially as Yoon Bok is staring straight ahead, obviously refusing to look in her direction, as Dong Ho is looking down shyly and with a Cupid-style arrow shot through her hair.

Yep, there’s definitely a romantic undertone that Dong Ho may be admitting to herself more than Yoon Bok accepts.

Then again, they do say women are more emotionally intelligent than men, right? 🙂

The plot of Dare to Love Me

As for the romance plot, the two meet after Shin Yoon Bok leaves his traditional-style village to move to Seoul to study art so he can become a webtoon artist.

Kim Dong Ho is an art teacher in the school he attends.

While he is straight-laced and prefers not to get too close to people, she is aggressive and much more haphazard with her life.

The 16-episode rom-com K-drama Dare to Love Me is due to premiere on KBS2 on May 13th 10:10 p.m. KST.

No word yet on where it will be streaming in the west, but my guess is very likely on Viki, as it seems like something that would be that streaming platform’s cup of tea.
