New The Fiery Priest 2 poster has our favorite trio armed and ready for action – Kim Nam Gil, Kim Sung Kyun, Honey Lee

A new The Fiery Priest 2 poster has been released showcasing the main cast of the soon-to-be-hit Korean comedy crime drama armed and ready for action.

The latest The Fiery Priest 2 poster showcases the Kdrama’s three leads — fiery priest with an anger management problem Kim Nam Gil, once-timid detective Kim Sung Kyun, and beautiful prosecutor with a morality problem Lee Ha Nee.

The trio stand together, resolute in the face of danger – Kim Nam Gil armed with a rosary (and those fists!) while looking badass and stern, Kim Sung Kyun with gun raised ready to fire, and Lee Ha Nee gripping a sword with a small smile on her face as if to say “Just try messing with me”.

The poster’s tagine reads “Bellators’ mission — Let’s get started!” — Bellator referring to the Catholic Church’s ancient term for “warrior”.

The Fiery Priest 2 poster was released in the run up to the Korean drama’s premiere, which is scheduled to occur at 10pm on November 8th on SBS in Korea.

That’s more than five years after the drama’s fan-loved and critically acclaimed first season hit the airwaves.

The Fiery Priest 2 details

The upcoming second season of the hit drama The Fiery Priest is being directed by co-director of Season 1 Park Bo Ram (Through the Darkness), who replaces first season director Lee Myung Woo.

It again stars the main trio — Kim Nam Gil (Song of the Bandits), Kim Sung Kyun (Divorce Attorney Shin) and Lee Ha Nee (aka Honey Lee) (Knight Flower) — and also sees the return of screenwriter Park Jae Bum, who did a bang-up job with Season 1.

BIBI (The Worst of Evil), Sung Joon (Call It Love) and Seo Hyun Woo (Uncle Samsik) also join the main cast.

The second season will again have the crazy trio working together to solve a major criminal case, this time a drug case in Busan, while still filled with the same humor and craziness of Season 1.

Mark your calendars for November 8th, as this one should be bloody brilliant!

And, if you haven’t yet watched the superb first season of The Fiery Priest (hurry up, it’s fabulous!), you have a month to do that via Viki or KOCOWA depending on your region.
