Knight Flower Episode 12 ratings make it MBC’s #1 Friday/Saturday drama of all time

Knight Flower, Episode 12 ratings end Korean period drama with a bang

The cast and crew of Knight Flower must be absolutely thrilled to see the just-released ratings for the series finale of the 12-episode K-drama, which aired on MBC earlier tonight.

Those ratings via Nielsen Korea show Knight Flower, Episode 12 with another 3.0 percent ratings jump versus its previous episode, thus ending the Korean drama with a bang.

In fact, nationwide, Knight Flower, Episode 12 grabbed a huge 18.4 percent of the audience share.

That is a big increase from Episode 11’s already high 15.4 percent, and a massive increase from the 7.9 percent the K-drama garnered for its first episode on January 12th.

It also made the Korean drama the 2nd most-watched TV show in South Korea on Saturday nationwide, only losing out to the always #1 weekend drama Live Your Own Life.

Knight Flower becomes MBC’s most successful Friday/Saturday drama of all time

Even better though, tonight’s episode of Knight Flower surpassed the ratings of another extremely popular MBC Friday/Saturday drama The Red Sleeve, making Knight Flower the most successful drama to air on a Friday/Saturday night in the history of the Korean network.

That’s because the K-drama’s nationwide rating of 18.4 percent tonight beat The Red Sleeve‘s highest rating of 17.4 percent, which that drama earned for its 17th episode on January 1st, 2022.

Knight Flower beats Live Your Own Life in Seoul on Saturday night

Meanwhile, in Seoul, the Knight Flower, Episode 12 rating actually beat that of Live Your Own Life, grabbing 18.1 percent (up from Episode 11’s 14.7 percent) and skyrocketing into 1st place for all of Saturday.

The first time any show has knocked Live Your Own Life out of its #1 spot since it premiered on September 16th, 2023.

In other words, as I predicted yesterday, Knight Flower ended its 12-episode run tonight with its highest ever rating, as well becoming an enormous success for MBC.

Knight Flower stars Lee Hanee (aka Honey Lee), Lee Jong Won, Kim Sang Joong, and Lee Ki Woo.

All 12 episodes of the Korean period drama are now available to stream internationally via Viki and on KOCOWA.
