Episode 5 of Queen of Tears has a new rival

The ongoing tvN drama Queen of Tears, Episode 5 ratings are out and, as you might expect with how well the K-drama has performed so far, it ended last night at #1 in its time slot.

According to date from Nielsen Korea, the Queen of Tears, Episode 5 rating was 10.96 percent nationwide.

That’s a drop from its previous episode’s 12.98 percent, but still a very solid rating for the tvN romantic comedy.

Meanwhile, in Seoul, the fifth episode of the K-drama performed even better, grabbing 12.19 percent of the audience share.

Sure, that is still a drop from Episode 4’s 13.85 percent, but it was still the second most-watched drama on Saturday night, only falling behind the just-premiered K-drama Beauty and Mr. Romantic, which premiered last night to a huge 15.3 percent rating nationwide and 14.1 percent in Seoul.

Queen of Tears climbs Top 10 on Netflix

Meanwhile, Queen of Tears is still performing exceptionally well on Netflix where it debuted internationally two weeks ago at #7 on their Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart.

A spot it only held for a week, before it climbed four spots to its currently ranked #3 spot.

The next episode of Queen of Tears will air in South Korea later on tonight.

It will be interesting to see if Beauty and Mr. Romantic is able to keep its #1 most-watched spot for its second episode, or if Queen of Tears will be able to grab that mantel back.

Queen of Tears stars Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won.

Its next episode will hit tvN airwaves at 21:10 (KST) tonight, with Netflix streaming it in most international regions.
