Queen of Tears hits #1 on Netflix Top 10 Non-English TV Shows for its 4th week on the chart

Queen of Tears 4th week on the Netflix chart its best week yet

The latest data is out from Netflix via its Tudum platform and, as fans of the smash-hit drama Queen of Tears may have already suspected, the rom-com was #1 on the Netflix Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart this week.

The data is for the period of March 25th to March 31st, 2024.

It was the K-drama’s fourth week on the chart, with Queen of Tears premiering at #7 during its first week on the world’s largest platform, then jumping to #3, before slightly dropping to #4 last week, only to bounce back this week all the way to #1.

Queen of Tears hit #1 on the Netflix Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart this week due to it being viewed more than 4.2 million times, for a total number of 41.4 million viewing hours.

The Korean rom-com was also #1 in 41 countries, including Argentina, Panama, Peru, Colombia, Romania, Nigeria, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, India, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.

Queen of Tears also a hit in South Korea

It isn’t just international audiences who are loving Queen of Tears either as, on Sunday, the Korean drama’s eighth episode grabbed its highest rating yet from audiences in South Korea as it earned an almost 4.0 percent jump in audience share compared to Episode 7.

That jump also meant Queen of Tears is now the 15th highest rated cable TV drama of all-time in South Korea — and likely to still climb up that list from here.

Queen of Tears stars Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, and airs every Saturday and Sunday evening on tvN.

Netflix is streaming the Korean drama in most international regions.
