The Kidnapping Day, Episode 12 aired on ENA in South Korea last night and ended the superb K-drama with the highest ever rating of its run.

According to the latest numbers from Nielsen Korea, The Kidnapping Day, Episode 12 grabbed 5.24 percent of the audience share nationwide.

That number is up almost 1 percent over its previous episode’s rating (4.26 percent), while it also helped bump the average rating for the entire series up to 3.56 percent per episode.

Considering the drama started its run with just 1.83 percent of the audience share on September 13th, that it ended with a rating this high is a superb result.

The Kidnapping Day, Episode 12 ratings in Seoul

In Seoul, The Kidnapping Day, Episode 12 saw similar results, with an even higher rating of 5.49 percent – a nice increase from its previous episode’s 4.52 percent.

It was also an episode that got the average rating for the series up to 3.62 percent per episode by the end of its run.

Both ratings, as you might expect, also meant The Kidnapping Day was the #1 most-watched show on cable TV for the day in both regions.

The K-drama’s ever-increasing ratings as the series continued its run also means it has become the most successful ENA drama of 2023 so far.

Something I predicted soon after I watched Episode 1.

Let’s see if the upcoming Moon in the Day starring Kim Young Dae and Pyo Ye Jin can beat it.

The Kidnapping Day stars Yoon Kye Sang, Park Sung Hoon, Yu Na, Kim Shin Rok, Kim Sang Ho, Seo Jae Hee, and Kang Young Seok

Every episode of the drama has been released internationally, and that means you can watch all 12 episodes, including the series finale, via Amazon Prime Video now.
