The ongoing Genie TV/ENA drama The Midnight Studio, Episode 12 earned its lowest-ever rating last night in South Korea, as it saw a drastic audience share drop compared to its previous episode.

Nielsen Korea reports that nationwide ratings drop was from Episode 11’s 2.08 percent to last night’s 1.39 percent — the Korean drama’s lowest-ever rating, as well as 0.37 percent lower than its previous lowest rating, which it earned for Episode 7.

The Korean drama performed similarly in Seoul, with The Midnight Studio, Episode 12 dropping from its prior episode’s 1.86 percent to last night’s 1.42 percent.

All is not lost though, as the K-drama does still have four episodes left to air, and its ratings have been jumping up and down for a while now.

The Midnight Studio‘s international audiences

Outside South Korea, however, The Midnight Studio is performing much better with viewers on the streaming platform Viki currently rating it a 9.6 out of 10.

Even the picky folks over at My Drama List are currently rating the Joo Won and Kwon Nara-led drama a high (for them) 8.3 out of 10.

The next episode of The Midnight Studio will air/stream later on tonight.

Let’s hope it earns a ratings jump then as, frankly, it has been one of the better, more satisfying dramas of the current K-drama season since it premiered.
