Listen to Blues Traveler’s iconic ‘Run-Around‘ from ‘Everything Sucks!

The classic and, I would definitely say, iconic Blues Traveler song ‘Run-Around‘ was featured on the first episode of Everything Sucks! — Season 1, Episode 1, “Plutonium”– a new exclusive Netflix series based in the 1990s that tells the story of a teenage girl coming to terms with being gay.

The song was played as Kate talks to the principal.

Run Around‘ was released by the American rock band in 1994 on their fourth studio album simply called Four. The album was a massive break through for the band making it to the number 8 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, and ultimately being certified Platinum six times.

Run Around‘ itself was the lead single from the album, and was given a Grammy Award in 1995 for Best Rock Performance.

Listen to Blues Traveler’s ‘Run Around‘ in the Spotify widget below. It is an interesting song historically as it tells the story of a relationship lead singer John Popper had with a bass player that was originally in the band.

I also recommend listening to the entire Four album, whether you are already familiar with it or not, as it has a stunning number of superb tracks including ‘Hook‘, ‘The Mountains Win Again‘ and ‘The Good, the Bad and the Ugly’.
