Another upcoming anime series I’m particularly interested in is Ore wo Sukinanoha Omaedake kayo (Are You Really the Only One Who Likes Me?”) — a new romantic comedy based on the light novel series of the same name.
Because I’m a sucker for these quirky Japanese romantic comedies where people misunderstand someone else’s feelings, and this one in particular looks like it is very well done.
Ore wo Sukinanoha Omaedake kayo tells the story of Johro a high school boy who wants Cosmos, a senior girl, or Himawari, his childhood friend to confess that they love him.
Actually, he would be perfectly fine if both of them told him they loved him.
He is soon disappointed and panicked to learn, however, that not only do both Cosmos and Himawari like someone else, Pansy, a girl he despises, loves him instead.
The Ore wo Sukinanoha Omaedake kayo anime series is directed by Noriaki Akitaya (Bakuman and Joukamachi no Dandelion) and has been animated by Connect (Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody, Senryu Girl ).
It starts airing in Japan on October 2nd, 2019.
