As you might expect, the penultimate episode of the romance drama Queen of Tears, Episode 15 aired in South Korea last night to its highest Saturday rating of its run.

According to Nielsen Korea, that rating was an enormous 21.056 percent of the viewership — up just about 1.0 percent from last Saturday’s already high 20.17 percent.

The rating for the drama in Seoul was even higher, grabbing 23.920 percent of the audience – up from last Saturday’s 22.25 percent and a tiny fraction away from the drama’s highest-ever rating of 23.925 percent that it earned for Episode 14.

With those crazy high ratings, and with the smash-hit drama’s series finale airing later on tonight, it is almost guaranteed we will see it earn its highest audience share of all-time then.

And one that will likely cause it to pass Crash Landing on You to become the 4th highest-rated drama series on cable TV of all-time.

International viewers rate Queen of Tears

Meanwhile, the Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won-led Korean drama is still being rated a very high (for that site) 8.8 out of 10 by users of My Drama List, and a solid 8.3 out of 10 from IMDB users.

It is also still in the #3 spot on the Netflix Most-Watched Non-English TV Shows chart worldwide.

The final episode of Queen of Tears will air on tvN at 21:20 (KST) tonight, with the drama streaming on Netflix worldwide for their users.

The next Korean drama in the same tvN time slot will be The Midnight Romance, starring Jung Ryeo Won, Wi Ha Joon and So Joo Yun.

It will premiere on May 11th.
