The Atypical Family, Ep 12 grabs best ratings ever while still in Netflix Top 10 too

The South Korean fantasy romance drama The Atypical Family, Episode 12 ended the series last night with the best ratings it has earned for its entire run.

Data via Nielsen Korea shows the final episode of The Atypical Family grabbed 4.85 percent of the audience share nationwide — which is a substantial increase from the JTBC drama’s penultimate episode’s rating of 3.83 percent.

That rating is also the highest rating the K-drama earned during its 12-episode run, as it surpassed its previous best rating of 4.24 percent it earned for Episode 8.

The Korean drama’s Seoul ratings were even better, as Episode 12 jumped from Episode 11’s 4.57 percent to last night’s viewership of 5.70 percent.

The Atypical Family‘s performance with Netflix audiences

Meanwhile, not only has the Korean romance drama had a good run back home, it has also been very successful around the world on Netflix.

According to the Netflix platform Tudum, the K-drama is currently the 4th most-watched non-English TV show on the streaming platform.

It has also been  on the Netflix Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart for four weeks, with more than 17.4 million hours watched so far.

The Atypical Family stars Jang Ki Yong, Chun Woo Hee, Go Doo Shim and Claudia Kim.

All 12 episodes are now streaming on Netflix worldwide.
