The ever flip-flopping ratings for the Korean drama The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection continued last night with The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection, Episode 7 earning a pretty decent ratings jump versus its previous episode.

That rating nationwide was 3.3 percent, which is a more than 1.0 percent jump from Episode 6’s all-time low rating of 2.4 percent.

The rating for the Korean drama in Seoul saw a similar increase, rising from its previous episode’s viewership of just 2.9 percent to last night’s 3.7 percent.

Both ratings increases are also admirable as the SBS drama was airing directly opposite the premiere of the new MBC drama Chief Detective 1958.

That drama grabbed a huge ratings premiere on Friday night, earning a higher audience share than any MBC drama airing on a Friday/Saturday in the network’s history.

Both K-dramas will also be competing against each other in the same time slot later on tonight, so let’s see how The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection performs then.

Unfortunately though, every Saturday episode of the SBS drama has earned much lower ratings than its Friday episode, which is what we will likely see tonight.

The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection stars the ensemble cast of Um Ki Joon, Lee Joon, Yoon Jong Hoon, Lee Yu Bi, Hwang Jung Eum, Shin Eun Kyung, Jo Jae Yoon and Jo Yoon Hee.

The ongoing K-drama will continue airing on SBS TV every Friday and Saturday evening until its season finale currently scheduled to air on May 18th, with Viki streaming it for international viewers.
