JYOCHO’s ‘Minna Onaji’ music video is BEAUTIFUL and the Banished From The Hero’s Party ED so unusual

The Banished from the Hero’s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside ending theme song just got a full music video, and it is beautiful.

The song is called ‘Minna Onaji‘ and is performed by the Japanese math rock post rock band JYOCHO.

JYOCHO’s music video for ‘Minna Onaji‘ (in English ‘All The Same‘) was filmed with shots of a woman waking up in a desolate landscape then walking around admiring the beauty of it all, interspersed with video of JYOCHO performing the song in an industrial-style building surrounded by greenery.

Other than the band themselves, the ‘Minna Onaji‘ music video stars actress Mone Akitani (Liar x Liar), and was directed by Takumi Osera from THINGS, a Japanese creative team that produces work in just about every media — including quite stunning music videos for the likes of CY8ER, Panorama Panama Town and Paledusk.

JYOCHO’s ‘All The Same’ (‘Minna Onaji’) itself is a guitar-laden, beautifully mellow rock track with flute-driven accents, rich, almost-spiritual vocals and a gorgeous melody.

Like other JYOCHO releases, the guitar work on the song is stunning.

Not really surprising, as JYOCHO was originally founded as a solo music project for band guitarist Daijiro Nakagawa, who is incredibly talented. It has just skyrocketed to popularity from there.

Meanwhile, the Banished from the Hero’s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside ending theme song is one of my favorites of this anime season, as it is so so different than the usual theme songs we often get.
