Listen to Eurythmics’ ‘Sweet Dreams’ from Dead Ringers Ep. 1 opening credits

Eurythmics’ ‘Sweet Dreams‘ creepily intros the first episode of Dead Ringers perfectly

The new Rachel Weisz thriller Dead Ringers premiered on Amazon Prime Video this week and, along with its tons of crazy, it surprisingly also features some damned good music on its soundtrack.

The first episode of the psychological drama kicks off with Eurythmics’ ‘Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)‘, which plays throughout the entire episodes’s opening credits — Dead Ringers, Episode 1 — while foreshadowing the creepiness of what is going to come.

Eurythmics’ ‘Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)‘ is the name of the British snyth pop duo’s second studio album, which came out in 1983, and also the fourth single released from it.

Since its release, the song became one of the duo’s most recognizable songs.

Over the next 40 years due to different re-releases, the album has charted high in 10 countries, including arriving at #3 on the UK Albums chart.

As for Eurythmics‘ ‘Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)‘, it became the duo’s breakthrough single charting at #1 on charts in the United States, Canada and France, as well as hitting charts in 12 other countries mainly in the Top 10.

The song’s music video was also played in heavy rotation on MTV and, with singer Annie Lennox’ androgynous appearance, attracted music lovers even more.
