Episode 9 of Queen of Tears sees a huge ratings jump from last Saturday
The massively popular Korean drama Queen of Tears, Episode 9 aired last night in South Korea to its highest Saturday viewership of its run so far.
Numbers via Nielsen Korea show Queen of Tears, Episode 9 garnering 15.57 percent of the nationwide audience share.
That’s an increase of 2.7 percent versus last Saturday’s episode, which had already seen a big jump.
In Seoul, the Korean drama also earned its highest viewership for a Saturday yet, jumping from last Saturday’s viewership of 14.04 percent to this Saturday’s 17.23 percent — and that’s more than a 3.0 percent increase in the region.
With that kind of rating increase last night, and last Sunday’s episode earning the K-drama its highest ever rating, chances are tonight’s episode (Sunday) of Queen of Tears will earn yet another all-time high for the hit show.
Queen of Tears stars Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, and airs every Saturday and Sunday on tvN in South Korea.
The Korean rom-com drama premiered on March 9th with just 5.85 percent viewership nationwide and 6.49 percent in Seoul.
It has not earned ratings that low since then.
