The second episode of Hide should perform better tonight

The new Coupang Play/JTBC drama Hide, Episode 1 aired in South Korea last night to great ratings.

Especially considering the new mystery suspense drama aired part of its episode directly opposite the already-hit dramas Wonderful World on MBC, and the just-ended Flex X Cop on SBS.

Luckily for Hide, however, it will be the only Korean drama airing in its time slot when its second episode premieres later on tonight, so we should see how well it can perform once it doesn’t have too many rivals.

Meanwhile, Hide, Episode 1’s ratings nationwide on Saturday night were 4.05 percent, with a slightly higher 4.3 percent in Seoul.

Like I said, great ratings for a first episode.

What is the plot of JTBC’s Hide?

Hide stars the stellar main cast of Lee Bo Young (Agency), Lee Moo Saeng (Maestra: Strings of Truth), Lee Chung Ah (Celebrity), and Lee Min Jae (Crash Course in Romance).

It follows Na Moon Young (played by Lee Bo Young) as her husband Cha Sung Jae (Lee Moo Saeng) suddenly disappears.

Moon Young initiates a search but, as she does, unexpected secrets suddenly come to light.

Meanwhile, she is also unaware a man named Do Jin Woo (Lee Min Jae) may hold an important key to her husband’s whereabouts.

Hide airs on JTBC every Saturday and Sunday evening at 22:30 (KST), as well as streams via Coupang Play a half hour earlier, and with Viki streaming the drama for its international subscribers.
