American singer songwriter Joy Oladokun’s ‘Fortune Favors the Bold‘ feat. Tim Gent was that cool song playing on The Rookie last night — The Rookie, Season 5, Episode 18, “Double Trouble“.
The song was heard at the end of the episode as Lucy and Tim finish up the interview with the movie producers after being asked a series of ever more ridiculous questions.
Joy Oladokun’s ‘Fortune Favors the Bold‘ feat. Tim Gent was released in February, 2022 as a non-album single.
It is one of a huge number of singles the folk pop, R&B singer songwriter has released since 2016.
For much of the first few years Oladokun was recording and releasing music, she was not getting the attention she deserved.
But once her songs began to be picked up by TV show music supervisors to be featured in hit TV series, Oladokun’s career has really taken off.
In the past couple of years alone, the indie singer has had songs played on shows like Batwoman, Catfish: The TV Show, Good Trouble, Charmed, This Is Us, The Equalizer, Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19, And Just Like That…, Resident Alien and Supergirl.
So much so, Joy Oladokun has managed to forge herself a pretty impressive career providing songs for the entertainment industry.
