Queen of Tears Ep 11 earns highest Saturday rating yet as K-drama’s huge success continues

The South Korean romance drama Queen of Tears, Episode 11 aired last night to its highest Saturday rating yet.

Sure, that rating was a drop from last week’s Episode 10, which aired on Sunday night.

But, as the Korean rom-com usually performs better on Sunday nights, that jump last night means its likely to earn a very high rating when its next episode airs later on tonight.

The Queen of Tears, Episode 11 rating nationwide, by the way, was 16.76 percent.

That’s a nice more than 1 percent jump from last Saturday’s 15.57 percent.

The viewership for the Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won-led drama was also up in Seoul, where it moved from last Saturday’s 17.23 percent of the audience share (which is already huge!) to last night’s 18.50 percent.

Queen of Tears high up Netflix Top 10 chart for 5th week

The cast and crew must be thrilled at how well the K-drama continues to perform as its run continues.

So much so, it currently sits as the 5th highest-rated cable TV drama of all time in South Korea, with a very good chance of gaining at least the #4 position, and knocking Crash Landing on You off its perch, before it’s done.

The K-drama is also currently sitting at #2 on the Netflix Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart, having just been bumped from the #1 spot by Parasyte: The Grey.

It climbed onto the chart just two days after it began streaming on Netflix. and has remained there in high positions ever since.

The latest data will be released by Netflix this Tuesday, so we’ll see what position its sitting in then.

As for the K-drama’s stars, Kim Soo Hyun just made it to the #1 spot on April’s Brand Reputation for Drama Actors chart, while co-star Kim Ji Won was in fourth place.

Meanwhile, the next episode of Queen of Tears will air on tvN tonight, followed by streaming internationally on Netflix.
